Only a single Proof 1837 Half Eagle is known to exist and that coin is
essentially off the market, as it resides in the Smithsonian Institution's
collection. Uncirculated examples of this date are very rare, but
several nice examples exist.
The finest Uncirculated examples graded by PCGS are 2 MS-66's.
No Proofs have been certified by PCGS.
