No mint records exist for the
1853-O No Arrowheads and Rays Half Dollar. Were a quantity of these
minted then destroyed or were a few struck for presentation purposes?
In the April 2003
"Population Report", PCGS listed only one 1853-O No Arrowheads Half Dollar
- a single "VG-VF". However, in the April 2004 "Population Report",
PCGS claims to have graded 3 examples, but lists only 2, both in MS-62!
NGC has graded only one
1853-O No Arrowheads Half Dollar - a single VF example.
