VG7 Slightly sharper with a myriad of very tiny tick marks on both sides,
none notable but too many to justify a higher grade. Medium brown and
chocolate. The date and legends are clear. EDS, Manley state 1.0."
Good-5. Superior Galleries' "Pre-Long Beach" Sale, June
5-7, 2000, Lot 56, where it was described as follows: "1803 C-2 R4+
G5 A point or two sharper but there are a few tiny pits in the field
before the eye and the reverse is very slightly rough. Dark steel brown
and olive, the obverse rather glossy. The date and legends are bold. MDS,
Manley state 2.0."
